Autum Foliage at RikugienRikugien, located a little south of Komagome Station of the JR Yamamote Line or the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line, is a Japanese stroll garden which was constructed as the main garden of a suburban residence of a prominent Tokugawa Shogunate official in the Edo period. Rikugien is illiminated at night in autumn foliage season and in spring cherry blossom season.

Autum Illumination at Rikugien

At Rikugien, in fall foliage season, which is from mid-November to early December, the opening hours will be extended until 9pm and the garden will be illuminated after dark. You don't need to pay additional fee, though its usual admission charge (300 yen) is required.
