Haneda Jinja, which is said to be founded in the 16th century, is a Shinto shrine located in the southernmost area of Tokyo, and not so far from Haneda Airport. It is an 8-minute walk toward south from Keikyu Airport Line Otorii Station to the shrine.
The Haneda Matsuri is held here in late July.
Haneda Matsuri at Haneda Jinja
The Haneda Matsuri (羽田まつり), held on the last weekend of July, is the Reitaisai, or the Annual Grand Festival, of Haneda Jinja.
Procession of shrine-owned mikoshi
On the Sunday morning during the festival, the shrine-owned mikoshi makes a procession every year.
Since this area used to be a fishing village for a long time, the mikoshi is swung like a boat among waves while proceeding.
Joint parade of community-owned mikoshi
Every year, from around 3pm, about a dozen community-owned mikoshi hold a joint parade from a small park near Tenkubashi Station toward the shrine.
Route & time of the processions
Below is the route and time of the processions for 2018. The course and time are almost identical every year. The red line is the route of shrine-owned mikoshi and the blue the community-owned mikoshi.
