Honkoji

HonkojiHonkoji (本光寺) is a Nichiren Buddhist temple in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo and is a 2-minute walk from Keikyu Line Shinbaba Station.
When it was exactly established is unknown, but at first it was a Shingon Buddhist temple and was converted into a Nichiren Buddhist one in 1382.
In the temple precincts, there are a three-story pagoda and a tahoto-style pagoda, both of which are relatively new and not so large but made of wood.
