Oyama Afuri Jinja is a Shinto shrine composed of Kami-sha on top of Mt Oh-yama (1252m/4108ft high) and Shimo-shapin on the mountainside. There is a cable car going up to Shimo-sha every 20 minutes (870yen round-trip) but to get to Kami-sha at the top you must walk from there (1-1.5h). Located near the Oyamadera Station of the cable car is Oyama-dera Templepin, a Shingon Buddhist temple separated from the shrine in the early Meiji Era.
