Daradara Matsuri at Shiba Daijingu Shrine

The Reitaisai, or the Annual Grand Festival, of Shiba Daijingu is held in mid-September. This event is also known as Daradara Matsuri, and a relatively large joint mikoshi (portable shrine) procession is held in the odd-numbered years. Though this festival takes place as long as ten days, the only thing for a foreign visitor to see at this event is this joint parade.
