Takadanobaba Yabusame

The Takadanobaba Yabusame is a ritual dedicated to Ana Hachimangu Shrine which horsemen clad in traditional outfits shoot arrows from running horseback. It originated in 1728 and is at present annually conducted at Toyama Park (MAP) close to the shrine on Health and Sports Day, which is a national holiday held on the second Monday of October.
