Atago Jinja Shrine

愛宕神社Atago Jinja (愛宕神社) in Minato-ku is a small Shinto shrine founded in 1603.
It is located on top of Atago-yama Hill which is 26 meters (85 feet) high. This shrine is a spiritual branch of Atago Jinja Shrine in Kyoto which is famous for enshrining gods who offer protection from fire. The present shrine complex is a reconstructed one after WWII.
It's an 8-minute walk from Toei Mita Line Onarimon Station.

Seishoji Temple

青松寺Seishoji(青松寺) is a Soto Zen temple near abovementioned Atago Shrine. It is situated between two modern skyscrapers, and the temple complex is modern but at the same time traditional, fitting in well with the scenery.
They offer opportunities for Zazen (seated meditation) for free and have an English page dedicated on this in their website welcoming the participation of foreigners, though they don't have any English page other than this.
