The Shinjuku Eisa Matsuri (新宿エイサーまつり), or the Shinjuku Eisa Festival, is an event held around the Shinjuku Station on the last Saturday of July, focusing on Okinawan dance "Eisa." Some thirty eisa dancing groups perform their dances along the main street of the east side of Shinjuku Station in daytime and on both sides of the station in the evening.
